The genesis: 2014
The first Biennial Binational Conference on Mexican Philosophy (BBMP) was organized at the College of William and Mary in the Spring of 2014 (poster at left).
The original aim was to invite scholars who specialize in the history of Mexican philosophy to share their work and collaborate in the effort to develop and promote Mexican philosophy in the US and Mexico.
One product of our initial effort is our recently published Mexican Philosophy in the 20th Century, which is the inaugural volume in Oxford University Press's new series, Oxford New Histories of Philosophy (2018).
In the spring of 2016, the second BBMP was organized at San José State University...
In this third installment, the goal is to gain insight about the contemporary relevance of 20th Century Mexican philosophy.
